Penetrating Oil

Penetrating Oil is a penetrating lubricant for stuck and rusted connections. The thin oil creeps deep into threads and seams, where it helps break down rust and dirt. That makes exhaust bolts, wheel nuts, hinges and other seized parts easier to undo, with less risk of snapped bolts.

Penetrating Oil is part of Proline, the Effektiv workshop line for garages, mechanics, agricultural contractors and maintenance teams, and is just as useful for anyone working at home. Available in a handy 200 ml pack.

1. Remove heavy dirt and loose rust with a wire brush.
2. Apply Penetrating Oil generously to the seized connection.
3. Leave it to work for a few minutes; repeat for stubborn connections.
4. Undo the connection with the correct tool and wipe away excess oil.
